It’s nearly here!

The Women’s Football Club team are super pumped for the Women’s World Cup to be on our shores, not just for all the amazing exposure it will bring to women and girls playing football, but as spectators too – we love nothing more than a good tournament!

In all seriousness though, this WWC Down Under has seen a huge shift in what it means to be a modern professional female footballer. Millions of dollars paid for broadcasting rights, $405,0000 for each player who wins the World Cup, sold out stadiums… it’s an exciting time to be a young girl playing football, finally able to dream of a pathway to a successful career as a professional sportswoman.

And a chance that the Matilda’s will take it out on home soil??
